The Bidding War for Top Creators Is Now Explicit: YouTube Is Reportedly Paying Talent Not to Sign With Netflix
Bloomberg reports YouTube is offering top creators guaranteed shares of brand-deal revenue and direct production financing to keep them off Netflix, and excluding Netflix-affiliated creators from marketing and revenue-share programs. Two weeks later Google signed MrBeast to a multiyear deal spanning Gemini, Google Health and Fitbit.
